Okay, just a quick update....still grinding like mad. I burned through 50NL in 2 weeks as a expected, and now I'm working my way through 100NL without much resistance. I'm probably about 2 good runs or no bad runs away from 200NL, and I plan on staying there a while. Once I get there I will stay to build my roll and take off regular payments to supplement my full time job. I may have mention this in my previous post but I'm playing at full tilt now because I get rakeback. You can catch me on as TderKGB, so come say hi.
In other news, my official last day at pxf will be july 7th. So any of you pxfer's can reach me here or on skype as TderKGB.
I'm not surprised I have very few readers on my blog as I rarely write in here. I'd say I will post more but I'm sure that would be a lie...so until next time, good luck on the felt.

Back
Well I'm back from my un-announced and un-planned break. I was just getting sick of the downswing so I quit playing for a couple weeks. So I fired up stars today and I ran..........worse than when I went on break. I don't know what the deal is. I moved down to $50NL because I had to remove the majority of my bankroll(again) for real life stuff. Whenever I come back from a break I always seem to do pretty well, but it looks like stars forgot to remove my doomswitch while I was gone. Varience is so horrible at these low levels because the players have no idea what they are doing. I wish I was back up at 200NL. At least there was some competence at that level, and I could actually use thinking plays against people. For now I guess I'm just stuck grinding back up to where I was. I'm going to hold off on PLO until I move to Cardrunners as there is basically nothing on PXF for the game. I'm well over do for a nice upswing to hit as it's been a couple months now since I've had a winning day.

Switching it up
So after a lot of thought and consideration on where this game of poker is going to take me I have finally made a decision. Over the last few months I have been watching the trends in the poker world and have noticed quite a change. I really feel there is going to be a new "poker boom" and it will be focused mainly on cash games. More specifically, pot limit omaha. You can see it in the media and even more so in the high stakes games. It pretty much holds true that trends begin at the high stakes levels and then flow down. I feel that giving up some short term value now to learn PLO will pay off big later by putting myself in position to make a lot of money when PLO gets a big push. I have been playing it a little bit trying to just get my feet wet in the game, and I've been doing pretty well so far. The players in the $100 games are just pathetic. I have no idea what I'm doing and I can still destroy these guys. I've always had great card instincts and I feel that omaha is a great fit for my playing style and ability. Couple this with the fact that I'm getting bored with mtts and I feel its time for a move. Unfortunately, this means that I will be leaving pxf so I can move to cardrunners. If I really want to develop my cash game I feel the need to move to a site with the top players in the game. This is the same reason I came to pxf for mtts. It sucks to have to leave pxf because I love the site and the people on it are great, but I need to do what is going to be the most profitable for me in the long run. So after this month I am going to cancel my subscription to pxf. I hope that any members who read this will continue to follow my progress in the poker world, and give me any sort of encouragement or support to help me on my way. Well, I'm off to the Omaha tables for some juicey weekend action.

April MTT challenge
Not much has been happening on the poker front. Been on a bit a bit of a downswing the last couple weeks but I'm ready to start a good run. Hopefully I can have a good April because I got into the PXF April MTT challenge. I've played 18 tournaments the past two days with one cash. Pretty sick how many coinflips I can lose when I'm on a downswing. Anyway, I'm hoping I can really get something going this weekend. I'll be putting in a large amount of mtts including my first to SCOOP events. I'm playing the 4x shoot-out, and the $22 cubed 6 max PLO tourney. I would love to take one of those down obv but I would be happy just to get more than one cash today. Well my day is starting so until next time....

Marathon weekend
After a long week of caring for a sick daughter I am finally able to get in some tourneys. I will more than likely be putting in 40-50 tourneys this weekend to make up for my absence this week. Hopefully I will be able to make at least 2 final tables and maybe get a big win. On a side note, the day after my last post I finished 28th in the Sunday Million. It's very frustrating to get so close but the 3k payday eased the pain a little. Nonetheless, it was a really good learning experience on how the higher limit end games are played. I was also able to hold my own against a WPT champion and a WSOP bracelet winner, which feels quite good.
I put in some cash game play this week with some very mixed results. I was doing quite well until last night when I lost a $350 set over set pot, and a $310 nut straight vs full house pot when I got nailed on the river.
Anyway, my first tourney is starting so I will post my results of the weekend tomorrow night or monday.

Another Final Table
So for some reason today I felt like getting on Full Tilt to play some today. I haven't played that site in months but I still had $30 in my account. So I signed up for the $26 34k gtd. Played some great poker and went to the final table as the chip leader.........where I got anal penetrated 20 times over. Everyone was playing at me because of my aggression on the bubble, and I took some ugly beats. So, I ended up busting out in 5th (TT vs 99, flopped set obv) for $2526. First place paid $8800 and I really wanted to win, but as luck would have it today was not my day. I guess the good news is that I now have a bankroll at Full Tilt. My screen name is "TderKGB" if anyone cares to drop in and say hi. I must say, the players on FTP are much, much softer than they are on pokerstars. I didn't encounter any resistance until the final table. I think everyone was just sick of me at that point. Nonetheless, it was certainly a profitable day. I will try to get the Hand History up tomorrow. It should be a good watch. I went through a stretch where I went from chip leader to the short stack, and back to chip leader. I was real swingy today, but it was still fun.
I will be playing all day tomorrow so come and give me a shout. Illinifan10 on pokerstars, and TderKGB on FTP.
See you on the felt!
